📖 This Strange Sight
Book 1 of The Year of Jubilee, a gritty, faith-filled duology
Strange deaths occur in modern-day Beijing when a girl blinded by loss partners with a demon. Meanwhile, Jubilee Li, a reformed thief who wrestles with the power of supernatural sight, finds herself recruited onto a serial killer case by a peculiar private detective…
This is a serialized urban fantasy about redemption, spiritual warfare, and the long road to healing from shame and the past—set against a backdrop of unseen forces and cross-cultural tension. It includes a twist of humor and a slow-burn romance subplot, plus dramatized audio episodes to bring the story to life.
Note: The written version was serialized from October 15, 2025 to May 12, 2026, and remained up until the final book’s release on Amazon on June 1, 2026. It is now available in e-book, paperback, and hardcover. A sample of the text serial will remain up as permitted by Kindle Unlimited.
The dramatized audio version—which follows an earlier draft that is very close to the final version—will continue to release as a podcast until its completion, and releases every Thursday.

💛 A Note from the Author
After years of writing, rewriting, and refining, Book 1 of this story is finally complete!
I’m so glad that I got to share the story from the beginning here first, chapter by chapter, while preparing for the book’s official debut.
Now that the print version is released, what remains is audiobook completion and release…and then, of course, writing and producing Book 2! (Working title: Some Strange Thing.)
If you choose to subscribe or support along the way, know that it helps me move toward that final goal, and I appreciate it more than you know.
With Love,
~L
